Trip to Patagonia with my good friend Larry from Texas. We travelled with Photo Safaris and the trip primarily landscapes of the Argentina and Chile Patagonia. The weather turned out mild with clear skies most of the time so the landscapes were slightly disappointing although the autumn colours made up for the lack of clouds in the skies. We spent four days at El Chalten, Argentina photography the mountains and the landscape in the area followed by two nights at El Calfate area where we photographed the Perito Moreno glacier. A full day spent crossing the border and heading to Torres del Paine where we spent six nights at two different lodges. Torres del Paine was disappointing, the weather was either clear skies or gale force winds that made photography difficult. We did have an encounter with Puma which was unexpected and we also were lucky to see a Armadillo and because of the landscape conditions we spent a lot of time looking for wildlife which suited me! At the end of the trip Larry and I stayed behind at Torres del Paine as we had booked a Puma extension for five additional days.
